Q. Can you give me tips on how to have a whole body orgasm? —from Tim via BlackBerry
A. Hi Tim, Whole Body Orgasms happen most often and with greatest impact when taken by surprise. They sneak up and overtake you, rolling through like a huge wave that keeps on going and going and going—ever expanding through all levels of your consciousness.
Rather than chasing after a whole body orgasm, to gain the most profound experience one must focus on creating the best opportunity for it to show up. This is achieved by placing yourself in a state that is both relaxed and aroused, and utterly present in the moment.
Here are some tips on how to create that opportunity:
Slow, go slow, slow down, practice "slow sex." Slowing down lets you be more present in the moment—and that's the only place whole body orgasms show up! When one isn't in a hurry and off chasing after orgasm, or conjuring up some fantasy about great sex there is more time to enjoy what is actually happening. There's no better experience than to be utterly present with exactly what is being experienced in the Now. Going slow and being present is where you can feel the energetic vibrations of the experience on a deep, core level of being. Show up in the moment and allow yourself to fully experience your eros, emotion and physical sensation—connecting deeply with your partner.
Relax, soften the clench in your gut. Release this isometrically contracted energy to flow throughout your body. Relaxed muscles allow energy to flow more freely. When nearing orgasm many people tighten up their stomach and then wonder why their orgasm is localized to their 1st and 2nd Chakras! To experience whole body orgasm, the energy must be able to travel throughout the body uninhibited by muscle contraction. The more relaxed you are the greater freedom the massive energy wave of orgasm has to reverberate all through the body. Return to relaxing your muscles as often as you realize you are contracting them. Let your slow and present sexual engagement be languidly relaxing -releasing any tension that shows up. You'll be surprised at how much feeling and energetic amplitude shows up when you are relaxed and not trying to hurry towards an orgasm!
Wallow, take your time, there's no place to go, nothing else to do, and no other Now to be in. Plunge deeply into the experience, saturating your consciousness with the multi-dimensional sensing of the sexual activity. Release any agenda or goal and let the energy build and lift you up instead of coaxing its climax.
Release any thoughts or emotions that come up, letting them pass through you as you feel them. These will take you out of the moment if you hold onto them or try to process them. Don't resist their happening and don't prolong their presence. Return again and again to the moment as often as you realize you have left it.
Expand, expand your consciousness with the transcendent experience of oneness that results from utter presence and saturated embodied experience. Fully feel each caress, kiss, and gaze as not the observer or observed, but the experience. Transcend ordinary awareness and sensation with higher awareness of being and not doing—merging spirit and flesh in sacred sexual embrace.
Experience yourself in an expanded sense. Part of your lover is you as you are your lover—and part of you both is of the ALL. Discover that part of you that is beyond your normal experience and place your awareness there.
These aspects of sacred sexuality combine to opportune whole body orgasms and transcendent sexual experience because they are rooted in a higher resonance of sexual relating.
However, the beauty of it is once you've arrived at this place, whole body orgasms take a back seat to the experience as a whole!
Love and Light,
