Sexual Healing with Internal Pelvic Release

I provide Tantric Healing sessions with Internal Pelvic Release offered as part of the session. Internal Pelvic Release provides an opportunity to release and open blocked energies stored in the stomach, vagina and anus area.

Reasons for seeking Sexual Healing with Internal Pelvic Release
Many, if not most, women in our culture have experienced physical abuse, sexual trauma, rape, and/or molestation as well as mentally and emotionally abusive episodes. Even short of these more extreme experiences, women often are pressured to submit or accommodate sexual gratification of their husband or lover without desiring or fully welcoming the engagement in the moment. All of these circumstances produce contractions and restrictions of a woman’s energy.

The “bad experience” is stored in body-memory tissue located usually in the yoni, stomach and/or anus areas. Blocked or "stuck" energy in these areas has the affect of clamping down the woman’s full enjoyment of sexual engagement and creating “dead” or numb areas of the body. Often this affects sexual desire as well.

Women who experience this disconnection may compensate or ignore the feelings of numbness, pain or anger that exist and “just go-along” with sex and not be fully present to what is happening. This can take its toll on a relationship—slowly eroding the intimacy and freedom of sexual expression.

Internal Pelvic Release (a.k.a. “Yoni Healing”) is an important aspect of sexual healing for women. To experience the full effect of kundalini (sexual energy) rising it is essential that the energetic pathways of the body be prepared, clear and open. When this is the case, women feel empowered and free in their sexual expression —the embodiment of Shakti (Divine Feminine) energy.

The following description is for information purposes only and does not take the place of receiving in-person instruction. I recommend receiving personal instruction and guidance by an experienced practitioner. Due to the deep emotional impact that can result a provider would want to be proficient before performing this procedure with a client or inexperienced receiver. Couples who want to attempt this together understand the potential for emotionally expelling long contracted energy that may be overwhelming. Instead, I suggest including it in a session with an experienced Daka or Dakini.

Procedure
Internal Pelvic Release is a process of canvassing the interior of the yoni (vagina) for locations that have stiffness, tension or tightness in the tissue and bringing presence and awareness with slight pressure to the location until it releases. Deep breathing and sending love and acceptance to the location of the "energy knot" allows it to open and release the emotional charge it has been carrying.

To create a holistic healing opportunity there first needs to be a sense of “space” around the issues embedded like a memory in the body. To begin with, some time is given to discussing the concerns and felt awareness of past abuse, trauma and emotional wounds. With a detached, "witness" perspective and holding an intention of releasing and opening—an opportunity for healing occurs.

A full-body sensual massage is given to lower the physical armoring present represented by stress, tension, tightness, stiffness, soreness, and pain. In order to receive yoni penetration and release energy knots present there, it is essential to deeply relax the body.

The exterior of the yoni is also massaged to relax mucles in the area and engorge yoni tissues, opening and relaxing the yoni. The touch I use is often a new experience for women to receive. While being very pleasurable and igniting erotic energy, the touch doesn't carry an intention of taking one to orgasm. What results is a "wallowing" in erotic energy without destination creating a feeling of deeply receiving healthful touch that is pleasurable at a higher level.

Tantric energy techniques are used to ignite energy pathways of the body in preparation for the energy releases that follow and to facilitate an erotic energy charge that assists in unraveling energy knots and releasing them. By preparing the body in this manner Internal Pelvic Release is received comfortably and is most effective.

Its very important to ask permission before engaging the yoni. The woman receiving this procedure must feel completely at-choice, with nothing "being taken" from her nor having to submit to something she is not desiring or ready for. I also ask for and receive her permission to enter her sacred garden and then wait for the yoni to also say "yes” by its feel -open, receptive, welcoming, the yoni invites me in by pulsing and contracting onto my finger.

I enter the yoni with one finger and slowly, gently, canvas the vaginal walls for areas of tightness, tenderness, discomfort, soreness, or pain. When such areas are encountered, a gentle but firm pressure is applied without “rubbing” or creating friction to that area -merely meeting the contracted spot with firm-but-gentle pressure that meets the contraction without trying to force it to release. The woman receiving is invited to bring awareness to this spot and “breath-into” it sending love and acceptance with the intention of opening and releasing whatever wants to do so.

The pressure is similar to acupressure on a knot in one’s muscle. Often, a masseuse will hold pressure until there is a release in the muscle. When the vaginal wall releases there is a definite feeling of softening and opening that occurs. Often this is accompanied by a vocalized emotional release which may include anger, sobbing tears, and/or physical reactions of shaking and sweating.

I perform a thorough canvassing of the yoni wall, addressing additional “energy knots" providing a clearing of the yoni. It is often necessary to receive more than one session for complete results.

Sacred Spot Massage
Canvassing around the interior of the yoni in a clock-wise rotation, the Sacred Spot (a woman's "G" spot) is engaged last. I also ask permission to engage the Sacred Spot. The Sacred Spot is often a repository of repressed emotion resulting from trauma and abuse. When the yoni has been completely enlivened by sensual massage the Sacred Spot becomes engorged and ready for massage.

Approach the Sacred Spot gently and slowly starting from the edges and gradually shifting pressure to the interior area. Roll the pad of your finger slowly over the edge towards the center area of the Sacred Spot noticing any stiffness, tight areas, or emotional charge-trigger points.

Continue to engage the Sacred Spot, slowly bringing pressure to all quarters. Ride the energy wave that results from the release of repressed emotion and also pleasure.

A Different Touch
The Internal Pelvic Release procedure is different from “pleasuring touch” or even the release associated with invoking female ejaculation. The process is often pleasantly enjoyable while engaging pleasure-sensitive areas of the yoni, the touch however, is not a solicitous one, designed to invoke sexual excitement or orgasm. Rather, the yoni is engaged with loving, accepting, conscious touch.

This loving touch often contacts tender, sensitive, sometimes painful areas of tight, clenched tissue or muscle in the lower abdomen, yoni and anus area. The engagement therewith is gentle, loving-acceptance, healthful touch and gentle pressure, which meets the “tightness” with presence without resistance. This is different from touch designed to invoke orgasm or female ejaculation -it feels loving, accepting, and healing—opening oneself to a more relaxed welcoming of touch rather than the armoring stiffness, “deadness” or numbness currently felt in one’s stomach, yoni, or anal areas.

Benefits
By freeing these areas of the body from contraction it allows for the free-flow of energy through the three lower Chakras (energy centers) in the “body.”

The Root Chakra (located at the end of the tail-bone, externally represented by the perineum) is connected to one’s relationship with one’s community, family, survival, feeling of groundedness and connection to mother earth Gaia. It is through this source all our material-physical manifestations come from.

One’s Second Chakra is associated with the genitals of the body and is connected to our sexual expression, as well as one’s feeling of Shakti (Divine Feminine energy) flow through the body -resulting in a sensuality of being. Because of this, the Second Chakra is also associated with Eros, vital force, inspiration, creative spark, vitality, and vibrancy of life. If you are not feeling these aspects of your essential nature then you have contractions/restrictions in this Chakra.

The Third Chakra is connected to one’s “Power” in life and shows up in one’s ability to manifest one’s dreams or intentions. The Third Chakra is located just below the sternum’s end on the rib cage and is associated with the stomach. If you have a protruding stomach out of proportion with the rest of your body or experience severe tightness, cramping, or bloating of your stomach, you likely have Third Chakra, personal power, issues happening. Clearing this Chakra empowers one’s life with confidence and clear intention and understanding of how you manifest your desires.

By clearing these three Chakras from blockages and restrictions one becomes a being filled with vibrant energy, sensuality, confidence, and tremendous expanded orgasmic ability. One’s energy shoots to new heights and sees fantastic new possibilities entering life every day.

Completion
Completing the procedure involves holding space and staying present without trying to fix anything or stop the emotion from coming out. The Daka can offer support with eye-contact, holding hands, embracing the receiver as desired -or not- by her. Gentle, long strokes to the body of reassurance and acceptance is often welcomed.

I keep one hand present at the yoni (exterior), holding in support of integrating the releasing energy. My other hand strokes the body, bringing the energy up and out through the body, on to whatever energetic disbursement the wisdom of the “body” has in store for it. Sometimes the receiver can become cold at this time, it is good to have a blanket or sheet available to cover up with. Compression squeezes through the covering are often welcomed now, feeling deeply cared for and nurtured and warm.

If after reading this you would like to receive a Tantric Healing session, or want to learn the complete procedure in order to offer this healing practice as a Daka, please contact me.

The Neurobiology of Touch
Part of Attuning to Clients article in Massage & Bodywork magazine Jan/Feb 2009 by Stephanie Mines

"It is common for massage therapists to see their clients spontaneously remember trauma in response to touch. It is equally possible for numinous or otherworldly experiences to occur. This is because the hypothalamus transforms the activity of the frontal lobes (awareness) into hormonal messenger molecules. These then communicate with the endocrine glands, including the immune system, digestive system, and muscular-skeletal system. More messenger molecules are then released. When clients experience attunement coupled with compassion and educated touch they are poised for a numinous experience that could substantially enhance their immune function as well as change structure and movement. If this happens sequentially, lives change."

"The release of tension can never be solely a muscular event. In order for muscles to come out of contraction the mind must also let go; with this letting go, memories are unleashed, along with the fear, anger or horror that initiated the contraction."

Internal Pelvic Release FAQ:

Will the Internal Pelvic Release procedure be painful?
You are likely to feel some uncomfortable sensations ranging from no pain or discomfort to mild-discomfort to pronounced pain depending on your circumstances. Sensations also include: tenderness, slight, dull pain -and no pain at all. Many times there is merely a sense of tightness, tension, weakness or stress, in a localized spot of the vaginal wall with the rest of the yoni feeling healthy and responsive.

Will I experience orgasm?
The touch provided with Internal Pelvic Release is not a solicitous touch designed to bring one to orgasm. The Love-Heals touch brings gentle pressure without creating friction-sex movements. The touch is very pleasurable for the most part and is trusted, safe, and conscious when engaging tender or tight areas of the yoni.

The sensual massage included to prepare the yoni for penetration is pleasurable and sometimes orgasms occur -but these are not the goal or purpose of the procedure.

Do you wear gloves for the Internal Pelvic Release procedure?
Generally I do not wear gloves. When consulting prior to performing this procedure we discuss your sexual health and potential exposure to STD's if any. I will or will not wear gloves based on this disclosure. If possible, I prefer not to wear gloves -so as to receive the highest level of tactile sensing during the procedure.

I was sexually assaulted when very young and again as a teenager and I suspect this contributed to my prostate cancer.
Is there a similar healing that can be done for men?
Actually, approximately 50% of my clients are male.  Internal Pelvic Release is a technique for "clearing" the vagina (yoni) of energy knots that accumulate due to emotional trauma and abuse.  The male equivalent is prostate clearing (for internal work).  Also for men, a lot of clearing can be done externally in the pelvic floor area (anus, perineum, genitals, pelvis, lower abdomen).  Deep tissue massage combined with acupressure and sensual massage of the genitals is a effective combination that addresses impacted spots or energy knots embedded in this area and associated with sexual trauma.

The procedure uses deep tissue massage in the pelvis and lower abdomen area along with conscious and gentle pressure to energy knot locations until they release. A sensual massage of your genitals will ignite erotic energy which is enlisted to help loosen up and move the energy that is knotted up and contracted.  Whether or not it goes to "completion" is not the point, the erotic energy will do its work following its own wisdom.

Its important for the receiver to collaborate by visualizing one's energy as vital and flowing -feeling healthy and vibrant.  If that feeling is not easily present, recall times in your life when you felt this way and overlay those during the massage.

If thoughts of the abuse or trauma occur, don't resist them and also don't indulge in the overwhelming drama of the trauma.  Merely hold those thoughts in a neutral space, honoring their presence without going into the "story" of perpetration.  Rather, consciously send love and acceptance to yourself from your mature adult vantage point.

A good technique is to imagine with every wave of love and acceptance you send yourself that you are blowing up a balloon of energy that fills your being and radiates out of you to all in your sphere of life, each wave is like a puff of air going into the balloon which fills up incrementally, it never breaks -only expands.
